Background
From 2003 through 2004, our team supported Akbar Brothers Group of Companies by designing and developing custom business applications to streamline operations. The engagement combined backend database design, front end reporting systems, and dashboards, while also providing full database administration (DBA) services. The goal was to replace fragmented processes with integrated, scalable systems that improved efficiency and data visibility across the organization.
Challenge
The company’s existing processes were manual and disconnected, making it difficult to manage tenders, invoicing, communications, and inventory. There was no centralized database structure, reporting was limited, and system performance was inconsistent. The challenge was to create multiple applications from the ground up, while also ensuring secure database design, reliable reporting, and long term maintainability.
Solution
We delivered a suite of custom applications supported by robust backend databases and user friendly front end systems. Each application was designed with logical data modeling, normalization, and indexing to ensure performance and scalability. Reporting dashboards were created to provide management with real time insights, while DBA services ensured security, backups, and performance monitoring. This dual role — development plus administration — allowed us to deliver end to end solutions that were both functional and sustainable.
